Choppy recording while spectating

I am an analyst for a Rainbow 6: Siege team and am trying to record scrims so that we can review them after and fix our mistakes. When I record the match from the overhead spectator view the game gets extremely choppy for seemingly no reason even though I can record with no issues when I am an active player in either a scrim or a normal game. I have tried changing settings and bitrates but nothing has been able to fix my issues. We have a scrim tonight and would like to fix this before going into that if at all possible. The following clips were filled with the exact same settings, nothing was changed between them.

1. Run OBS as Admin
2. Record to MKV. Do not use MP4
3. The encoder is skipping frames because of CPU overload. Read about that at https://obsproject.com/wiki/General-Performance-and-Encoding-Issues
4. Your GPU is maxed out and OBS can't render scenes fast enough. Running a game without vertical sync or a frame rate limiter will frequently cause performance issues with OBS because your GPU will be maxed out. OBS requires a little GPU to render your scene.

Enable Vsync or set a reasonable frame rate limit that your GPU can handle without hitting 100% usage.

If that's not enough you may also need to turn down some of the video quality options in the game. If you are experiencing issues in general while using OBS, your GPU may be overloaded for the settings you are trying to use.

Please check our guide for ideas why this may be happening, and steps you can take to correct it at https://obsproject.com/wiki/GPU-overload-issues
