Hey everyone I am capping out my processor usage when trying to stream anything at all. Even without a game running.

Computer Specs:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7 6700HQ Processor
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 , with GDDR5, 6GB VRAM
RAM: 16 GB DDR4 2133MHz SDRAM
HD: 256GB SATA3 SSD
HD2: 1TB 7200RPM SATA HDD
OS: Windows 10

Internet speed test:
90Mbps Download
10Mbps Upload

I uploaded my most recent log which just opening OBS will jump my CPU to 100%

Any help is appreciated

You could create a new/empty scene-collection where you just put in Game_Capture + Webcam to see, if your browser sources or video loops are causing high CPU load.

My findings without being live (just having OBS running) are:
Empty Scene Collection gives me 1.6% of CPU (which is WAY LOWER)
Adding Display Capture ramped it up to 2.2% of CPU (Still great!)
Adding Facecam went up to 4.0% of CPU (Still amazing)
Adding background went up to 10% of CPU (ouch that was a big jump)
Adding chat went to 10.7% of CPU (Not bad of an increase from last addition)
Adding game logo image did not move the CPU
Adding subscriber goal did not move the CPU
Adding follower goal did not move the CPU
Adding viewer count did not move the CPU
Adding stream boss notification went to 11% of CPU (Nearly moved from last CPU increase)
Adding follower notifications did not move the CPU
Adding twitter notifications did not move the CPU
Adding the lower third was a .mov file and for some reason this was the issue, it jumped up the CPU for OBS to over 30% (MASSIVE increase from last increase) dunno what was up with the video file but converted it to a .mp4 and OBS CPU is now down to 18% (Much lower)

Now time to add the rest of the scenes.

Intro scene
Added intro video file is running with 9.5% of CPU
Added music file and CPU has not changed.

Outro scene
added outro video file is running with 9.5% of CPU

Seems to be a lot better. Will look at my other scenes for the same issue. Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for reporting back. Good to know, that you were able to pinpoint the increased CPU load to that video.
