Question / Help Black Screen

Hi I am new to live streaming and am getting a black screen when I try to live stream on Twitch.tv. I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770K CPU @3.5GHz 8.00 GB (RAM) This is a brand new computer running Windows 7 (64-bit Operating System) with NVIDIA GeForce GTX745 graphics card. The game I am trying to live stream is EverQuest Landmark not sure that info matters but will provide it anyway. Please let me know if there are any settings I need to specifically set.

It could be any number of things; are you using windows or game capture? as the case may be that you have not selected the correct source etc.
