So I finally got a dual pc streaming setup with an avermedia live gamer hd, but for some reason the output quality to the stream in 1080p or 720p is very blurry. Is there any settings I should change or something you guys recommend to get a perfect picture quality.

Streaming Pc

-128gb SSD
- i5 2500k
- 560 TI
- live gamer hd
- 8gb ddr3 ram

I've been constantly playing around with the settings, and cant see to find any good settings or tweaks to make it clear.

tested more setting with 1080p streaming, messed around with quality balance but don't notice any quality difference still. I'm a complete loss right now.

Hey Navish360
i own the LGHD, if i look in your OBS log some settings are wrong...

Video Encoding: x264 -->OK
fps: 30 -->OK (you can't do 1080P@60fps with the LGDH, the card cap@60 but send/record @30fps only)
preset: veryfast -->OK
profile: high --> SET IT TO MAIN
keyint: 250 --> KEYFRAME INTERVAL MUST BE 2 (so the keyint will be 60@30fps and 120@60fps)
CBR: yes --> OK (enable cbr padding also)
CFR: yes --> OK

width: 1920, height: 1080
max bitrate: 1000
buffer size: 1000

So we are now talking about quality issue, you seem want to stream @1080P/30fps
with 1000 as bitrate? what is the max upload available on your side?

for info the max bitrate allowed by twitch is 3500 and if you are not partnered, your viewers will have some trouble to watch your stream without lag stutter, and even with 3500 you can't obtain a good quality for a 1080P stream specially if your are playing fast motion games.

Recommended bitrates for different resolutions
  • 1080p: 3000-3500
  • 720p: 1800-2500
  • 480p: 900-1200
  • 360p: 600-800
  • 240p: Up to 500
Most of well know streamers (partnered) use something between 3000-3500 and 720p

Your streaming bitrate limit is 3500 Kbps or less. High motion 1080p content isn't going to look great at that bitrate, it's just not, you can't fix that. For games that don't look good enough at 1080p your best option is to downscale to a lower resolution.

The stream looks fine for the settings you're using. If you're still unhappy with the quality then change to 720p30, or lower your expectations for stream quality.
