Question / Help Avermedia has blessed me...Audio problems! Looking for some help

Hi everyone!

I am blessed with an Avermedia C985 lite capture card which has been giving me headaches every once in a while. Here is a quick rundown of what I am trying to achieve. I have my PS4 plugged into the Avermedia card via HDMI which goes into OBS. I also have Audiomeeter Potato running for my microphone, music, SFX etcetc. I would like to have the PS4 sound appear as a line in channel in Potato, so I can control all my sound via one program, but I can't get it to work. I tried the 3,5 AUDIO OUT on the Avermedia card which goes into the motherboard's LINE IN, but all I get is static noise.

As a workaround, I am splitting the sound via OBS and sending the PS4's sound to desktop which is then routed via Virtual Cable onto a different hardware input in Potato which then gets send out to my stream. The problem here is that after a while the audio gets distorted. Possibly a buffer issue with Virtual Cable..?

I am open to any suggestions that would get me closer to an answer (apart from throwing this card into the bin :))
