Audio, how many encoders?

Hi. Got this audio chain using Streamlabs.
Ipod using music in MP3 format to Streamlabs to Youtube.

How mant lossy encoders do the audio stream go thru? Obvious the source playing MP3 format, but does Streamlabs encode before Youtube? Does Youtube also encode the audio on a live stream? Worst case be 3 lossy encoders or do I miss something?

I see. This is not a specific Streamlabs question althought I see several of them here.
Well ok then. Do OBS Studio add a generation of audio encoding when transmitting AV to a streaming service?
