If your mic is not set to a sync offset in audio settings, know that you can actually set that number to a negative value to manually sync your mic up if necessary. Just make sure to increase 'scene buffering time' to something like 2000 before you do so, then set your mic to the negative value in milliseconds (for example, if your mic sounds 1 second late, then you'd type in -1000 in the 'mic sync offset' to set it back 1000 milliseconds)
