Was just wondering how well the device has been working for you guys? Any issues with quality loss at all when using it via video capture device in obs? I'm thinking about picking one up but had a question.
The main reason I'm picking it up is to use it as a passthru from my main system since I use Crossfire. Basically gonna be duplicating the signal and sending it to the ExtremeCap. For those that don't know, Crossfire and SLI don't work in OBS/Xsplit, as it only pulls frames from one of the gpus, and therefore disables the second when using Game Capture. Was thinking I could use this as a work around. Duplicate signal being sent into the U3, into my system via usb3 and back into OBS via Video Capture Device.
From the video's and reviews I've seen, lag looks minimal if non existent. This would be an EXCELLENT way for Crossfire and SLI users to be able to utilize both cards. I picked up two r9 290's, kinda blows I can only use one when I want to stream =*(.
Has anyone considered this or tested it out by any chance? Curious how it will handle a incoming source above 60 FPS as well (and in my case, 2560x1440, hopefully it downscales well in case I have to use a splitter)...If anyone can test this I would greatly appreciate it. Just want to see if it works well before I dump almost 200 just to try something out...lol.
