Hey guys,
I was wondering is OBS supports webcam live-streaming?
I was using Xsplit and it works ok over there, but OBS seams to run a lot smoother plus its free! lol
But there is no option to "add live-stream" like there is in xsplit

I have read around the forums a little bit and I know skype is the recommended thing to use, but If I want say 4 friends web-cams to be on my recording .. how is that possible to do?
Is that possible to do with OBS?
Thanks

If you want 4 webcams of friends, you can still window capture Skype. Group video chat is free now. That is still the recommended way.

To add a livestream to OBS as a source, use the video source plugin and enter the RTMP URL: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/video-source-plugin.20/

O ok, I must be getting old then cause last time me and my sis did a lets play with duel cams through skype.. it looked like crap and you could see the skype icons.
Also she records to so she wants to see me and her on her screen as well.. I dont think skype does that..
Also have no clue how to grp chat with skype..

And lastly lol
That add-on dosnt work for me, I tried it... there is no place to put a stream name just an address.
So I'll be sticking with Xsplit

Some things you guys could work on:
More addable sources
A way to shrink the main window but keep the recording resolution

Usually open sourse projects are better then there alternatives, OBS surprised me that it didnt have like everything lol
Cool little program though, I'll keep an eye on it :)

You enter the RTMP URL to into the address box in the Video plugin.

You can shrink the main window by resizing it manually, like you would nay other window. The recording resolution will stay the same as whatever you have entered in Video settings.
