About a cheeky scene switch in Advanced Scene Switcher plugin for obs.

Hi!

First post in this forum so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong area.
I'm just needing a little guidance on how to do a specific scene switch with Advanced Scene Switcher

I want to hit a hotkey and it quickly "slides" into a super zoomed in shot of my face for half a second and then it "slides" back into whatever previous scene I had opened.

I wish I could pin point the problem I'm running into but after trying a lot of different guides and angles it's become too much for me.

I do have a custom stinger which I like on all my scene swapping but I don't want that to disappear when swapping between any other scene.

This desired Advanced scene swap is something that's supposed to quickly slide in, I pull a face, then quickly and automatically slides out back to the previous scene then boom, everything is back to normal.

I'm happy to screen share on discord if that would be easier than explaining it to me like a 4 year old. I'm from Australia and its currently 6:35 pm

Thank you for your help guys!

It is usually best to ask questions related to a specific plugin the plugin's discussion thread. :)
In the case of the advanced scene switcher it can be found here:

But to answer your question - you will have to set up a macro similar to the following example:

The scene and transition names will of course have to be adjusted.

While you can set the active transition type back to your custom stinger transition using the "Transition" action as another step at the end of the macro, I would instead recommend to configure the plugin to only modify the transition overrides instead of the active transition type.
This can be configured on the "General" tab:

I can also recommend having a look at the "Transition table" plugin in case you plan to set up more complex transition rules:

Feel free to contact me directly or in the Advanced Scene Swither discussion thread, if you have further questions or run into any issues! :)
