Question / Help 4k Recording in OBS?

Its a known problem with sony vegas actually
a lot people have it but they all find a way around it but almost all of them wont tell us how they did it.

as far sony vegas import goes you gotta be lucky if someone tells you if not you have to find it out yourself.
for everything else about obs the people here will help you or you have to try to record with another software to get around the combatibility problem of sony vegas

I mainly use the K-Lite Codec Pack in the Mega version from here> http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
Installed with preset "Lots of stuff (with Player)" and manually selecting the Lame codec for mp3. With that I normally can import mp4 files just fine to Vegas 12. It just does not like flv files...
Same files normally also worked in Adobe Premier for me, although I would have to check that for 4K stuff.

Post a sample .mp4 to a file sharing site for us to download and verify that it will or won't work on our own computers.

Your CPU is choking on the encoder load. That CPU isn't capable at recording at 4K at 30fps.

Hi, have a similar problem. When it records it just shows a black screen in VLC and classic Media Player, it also just shows a black screen in preview. I have looked at other threads but this one is the only one where resolution is 4k. Log 1. http://pastebin.com/GdabGkdL Log 2. Cannot open file :(
1000kb/s isn't enough for 4k video. Not even close. Set the preset to UltraFast and the bitrate to something like 50000, and the buffer to either 0 or 50000.
