Question / Help 32bit OBS vs 64bit OBS

Hey guys i'm having issues with my OBS freezing alot. Everytime I move the window around or maximize it it freezes but only when I have "Preview stream" enabled. Even when I'm not moving it and just preview my game screen it freezes constantly. Just to be clear the program is freezing not anything else.

So because of this I was wondering would 32bit OBS have performance issues on a 64bit OS? And if that's not the problem could anyone help out with my initial issue?

Edit: I just checked and I only have this problem with this specific game added as a source. And this problem just started out even tho I had been streaming the game many times before without this problem.

Game: Continent Of the Ninth Seal

Probably the system. That system is very weak. Few cores, slow speed, and an even more terrible graphics card. You really need an upgrade if you want to stream in HD.

In the mean time, you may have no choice but to use lots of downscale in video settings, 30 FPS max, and then probably change the "x264 CPU preset" in advanced to something like superfast or ultrafast to compensate.

I understand my PC isn't the greatest but why didn't I have this problem even once before? I havn't changed any of my settings.

I just tried Xsplit and it works perfectly fine. Problem is I prefer OBS so if anyone could help me out that would be awesome =\

Well we cannot really tell you what changed on your own computer system. Assuming you did not change any setting in OBS. In the first post you said it only happens with this one game. You could ask the developers if they are aware of any problems with their game or have an idea what could cause it.
In OBS you could try window capture instead of gamecapture or the other way around, you had both active in your log, but gamecapture seemed to only try to capture skype. If nothing helps I personally reinstall my windows if I notice it runs slow and I cannot find the cause, but thats just what I do.

Yeah man but you see the game doesn't lag at all. I mean I literally have no issues with anything freezing except OBS itself.

My PC doesn't freeze
The Game doesn't freeze
Only OBS freezes and gets skippy

I'd try gamecapture with the game but it doesn't detect the game process. And with other games it always shows a black screen so I've been using window capture.

I know I didn't change any OBS settings and i'm fairly certain I didn't change anything on my system. However I could be wrong about that.

There's no way that CPU is up to the task of realtime encoding at the settings you're currently trying to use. There is nothing to fix here, lower your OBS settings.

Okay dude I understand that but I'm asking if you have any idea why I never had any problems before? And why I have no problems using xsplit?

I have a hard time believing it was fine before. Your current results with OBS are what is expected with your hardware, so as far as we can tell, you're encountering normal behavior.
