I've been working through a 2pc setup using an AverMedia Live Gamer HD and OBS. I am able to stream to twitch successfully using the Recentral software, but when I set up OBS, I'm able to get the desktop of my gaming machine until I start a game. The screen then goes black, or at least mostly. I can see what appears to be a shrunken title bar that says the name of the game in it, but the game does not appear.
What I've looked at so far is ensuring that the resolution is not changing, which it is not. My gaming rig is a constant 1680x1050 120hz, and with Windows 10, I have that monitor cloned to the avermedia card in my streaming PC, and a second monitor in extend mode. What is getting me is that with the cloned output from my 290x, the resolution isn't changing, so I'm stumped as to why the stream preview would freeze when the game launches, and return once the game is closed, especially since I'm not changing resolution. It's almost like this is happening when something goes fullscreen or into 3d on the gaming PC side.
I am able to run heaven benchmark in windowed mode just fine, and seems I can run it in fullscreen mode as well. I wouldn't think any of this would matter though since I'm not trying to capture the game, window, monitor, etc, like I would in a one pc setup.
Again, all works with Recentral, but I am looking for OBS goodness. Thank you so very much for any help you can provide.
