Question / Help 2 part issue. Game audio not working, and audio pop/crackle

Ive recently started doing some streaming, and one of my games Ive streamed so far is Dark Souls. 2 Issues have come from this. 1, the game audio for Dark Souls is not coming through the stream. Im using twitch right now and am not having the same issue with other games. The other issue is when I stream there is this intermittent popping noise. Ive checked OBS while Im streaming and the issue is occuring, and on the microphone slider, there's a little bump a few seconds before the crackling happens on stream, however this doesnt occur during the preview for streaming. Ive been searching for a solution on the forums for a while now and none seem to work, I dont have a webcam source on since I dont have a webcam, Ive removed other unnecessary captures that arent related to the game and that hasnt helped either. Im hoping someone smarter, or someone that has previously had the issue can help me so that I can get game audio back, and also stop the popping and crackling. Thanks for any help!

Where does your game audio play out of? Headset? If so it should work with how you have it set up. Not sure about the pop/cracking, that shouldn't be OBS

Yes, Game audio is playing from the headset. That would be very strange if it shouldnt be OBS, I've done a test with friends and they all tell me there's no popping in normal conversation on Skype or other programs, but only on the stream. The popping is not audible through my headphones unless I listen to the stream. Like I said before it doesnt show the mic making noise during preview, and only after I start streaming.

OBS does not do anything but read the audio, it doesn't modify it. I've seen this a fair number of times, and it's usually hardware issues that cause it. Why? Because you're activating pretty much all the devices on your system and encoding at the same time. Your system and the devices together can cause interference. This is why skype and other programs are fine while OBS isn't.

Unfortunately, I don't know about why your audio isn't playing either. It's almost surely the wrong devices selected in audio settings. You may have to manually select the device for your desktop or mic sound capture. Note however that "Use input device for desktop audio" will use an *input* device such as mic/aux/etc on the desktop channel instead of an output such as speakers/headphones, do not enable that option unless you specifically want to do that.
