Hi.

Im streaming with a X5650 (6core) overclocked at 4Ghz and i'm unsure if my OBS settings are correct. I used to stream with a i7-950 and i'm not seeing that much of a difference on my stream.

This is my settings in OBS:

Max Bitrate: 1800
Resolution downscale: 720
FPS: 60
x264 CPU Preset: Faster

I think my bitrate is a bit too low but if I raise the rate my viewers are getting buffer on my stream.

I have 100Mb download and 20Mb upload

OK. Ill give it a try.

What about the Encoding Profile? OBS says to keep it on main. Other guides says to change it to high

High provides notice-ably clearer quality (game and bitrate dependent; more effective at lower bitrates) for relatively low CPU hit (3-5% at most). Youh should never not use it, until twitch moves it from a "suggestion" to a "requirement" for "excellent" quality.
