Hi, so I'm trying to start streaming console games, and I acquired a Micomsoft XCapture-1 (which uses directshow, and is a USB 3.0 capture card) to do so, since it's capable of handling anything, as well as outputting said signal natively, over the same input. However, when I try to use it with OBS, I have a LOT of difficulty getting it working. I know the card is doing its job, because when I open VideoKeeper2, their software, it shows the image being sent from my switch over HDMI, and the same when I swap inputs from displayport to HDMI on my monitor. Last time I tried to record/stream with the card, I had issues getting the audio working, but the video still worked fine for the most part. If anyone has any help, that would be nice.
Yes, the drivers for the card are up to date, even if "up to date" is drivers from 22 months ago.
VideoKeeper2 cannot be used for streaming, it is solely for recording and picture in picture purposes, the latter of which I use it for since it doesn't capture audio from my mic, so I'd have to record that separately and I'm too lazy to sync things in post. Also, if anyone says "Just capture the video output from VideoKeeper2", I'd rather get the XCapture working natively in OBS rather than bodging a solution together that, while it works, is ugly and wouldn't let me see stream chat if I stream.
