You need to enable CBR and disable your custom buffer in Encoding settings, to start with. You also need to lower your bit rate to 3500, as Twitch doesn't like it when people stream higher than that.

Ah okay dodge, I see the quality has decreased but I would like to ask if could I stream in 1080p for the Xbox One and why disable the custom buffer?

The VBV buffer is a complicated concept that is extremely difficult to explain in a simple way. Suffice it to say, though, that having a big buffer won't help you or increase your quality, and that in general, your buffer only needs to be as big as your max rate.

And while you may want to stream at 1080p, you're currently not even capturing at 1080p. Your Elgato is capturing at 720p in that log, so you're actually just streaming at an upscaled 720p, which is pretty useless. You're streaming at 1080p for the sake of streaming at 1080p, not because the content you are streaming is 1080p. That seems a bit silly to me. I recommend changing your OBS base resolution to 720p and reset your Elgato source to fit in the 720p frame, and just stream that. 720p at 3500kbps is more than enough to look good.

Alright thank you very much. But I got one more question about why is it capturing 720 when I put it on 1080p when configuring it in OBS?

OBS is running at 1080p, but if you open the video capture device source for the Elgato in OBS, you'll see that it's running at a resolution of 720p (under the Custom Resolution box).

Thank you Dodgepong, but could the elgato output 1080p 30fps for obs? I'm just looking for a capture card that could fit my situation.

Elgato can't output anything but 720 in OBS right now due to a design flaw in both the elgato directshow filters and in OBS. Both of the flaws combined prevent it from being able to switch to a new resolution. This will be fixed in the rewrite but unless elgato makes their directshow filters implement IAMStreamConfig (like all other actual proper capture filters) OBS won't be able to select the resolution.

Thank you Jim, I see the Elgato is a trouble for OBS. Would Micomsoft XCAPTURE-1, AVerMedia Live Gamer Portable, or AVerMedia ExtremeCap U3 be better working with OBS for my situation.

The XCAPTURE-1 and ExtremeCap U3 are both great options. The LGP is alright, though it has some of its own issues. In general, I don't recommend USB 2.0 HD capture devices as a whole.

I can recommend ExtremeCap U3, been working great for me. Check out my VOD's for quality if you like.
http://www.twitch.tv/badzyy/profile - 720p 60fps 3500 bitrate. I've tested 1080p at 60fps and while it does work smoothly I think the bitrate needed for it to look decent is too high.

Hope this helps :D

Thank you Badzyy, I watch over your VOD's and they look nice. I have a question about what is your setup with ExtremeCap U3.

You will need a HDMI splitter because the ExtremeCap U3 only has 1 HDMI-in, I got http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/171117168908 ... 1439.l2649, I'm sure you can find something similar where you are. Then, you plug the HDMI cable from your XB1 into the HDMI-in on the splitter, then 1 HDMI-out from the splitter goes to your monitor and the other goes to the ExtremeCap U3, then connect it to you're PC via USB 3.0 and it's good to go. That's how mine is setup anyway, hope that made sense.

Thank you very much and yes I do get what you're saying. I have a question, with out the splitter is the no delay on OBS? Like you could play it off OBS with no lag.

With the way I have it setup there is only a very slight delay, but I think it's enough to affect gameplay.
Not to sure if it would be better with the splitter taken out, I might give it a try.

Could you give it a try Badzyy? I would appreciate a lot, ExtremeCap U3 will be arriving this week and just wondering would if I needed the splitter.
