Question / Help x264 with AMD A10 6700?

I have an AMD A10 6700 apu which isn't the best for streaming so I have to use nvenc. As we all pretty much know, nvenc isn't the best at streaming bitrates, so what would be the best quality and performance x264 settings for live streaming with x264 with my CPU? I have a 6 upload speed so I am able to handle the highest bitrate of 3500 on wired network. I also don't want anything lower than 720p30, preferably 720p60. Thanks.

Don't think very many people use that CPU for streaming, so I don't know if anyone has practical experience to be able to tell you. You should determine it experimentally. The thing you want to look for in the OBS logs are Total Frames Duplicated. If that's over 1%, you need to lower the settings... a faster preset, lower framerate, smaller resolution. To get a good sample size, encode for at least five minutes of high action content, then stop the encode and look at the log. Make adjustments to the OBS settings if too many duplicated frames, then try again.
