So i recently upgraded my monitors to 2560x1440. I will say that this was a huge mistake now. For someone that records and streams getting a capture card now is almost impossible! Nothing supports this resolution it seems.

Does someone have a capture card that can support this resolution and has some sort of proof?

The Datapath VisionDVI-DL does. But it's expensive. High three digits to low four, depending on if you find a deal or buy one new. If you need 'proof', go to their website and check out the spec-sheet.

That said, why use a capture card at all, if you're gaming on your casting system? Game Capture or Window Capture will actually use less system resources than a cap card, in a single-PC streaming setup.

A capture card will not lower your CPU or GPU utilization in conjunction with OBS, unless you're using a 2-PC setup. Even then, many casters are moving over to the nginx 2-PC method instead, as it greatly simplifies audio source routing and doesn't require a cap card (or even an OS with a GUI, allowing fuller use of the system resources).
