Hi All,
Is anyone else experiencing issues with OSB software and Windows 10 machines?
As recommended by Workplace (by Facebook) for live streaming we use OBS software.
OBS works fine with Windows 7 however when we have tried it with Windows 10 machines it hasn't worked properly...
Th site actually talks about it's functionality with Windows 10 and it mentions it may not work like it does for Windows 7 (link below, it is dated from 2015)

The Window Capture functionality in OBS where it allows you to share a presentation does not work in Windows 10. There has been occasions where we have had to use an old machine using Windows 7 to support the broadcast for users with Windows 10 machines.
1st image shows OSB working on a WIndows 7 machine
2nd and 3rd image on a Windows 10 - it either gives a blank white page or just a multiple window look.
My concerns as we are all moving to Windows 10 slowly and need a fully functioning broadcasting software which is compatible with Windows 10.

Nope, I use OBS on my new Windows 10 computer, it works fine. Actually, I only have issues with game capture, so I use window capture instead, exactly what you say doesn't work. What version of Windows 10? Business, professional, ultimate, etc? Also, are you using 32-bit or 64-bit?

  • Your link points to a thread about the legacy OBS classic software that hasn't been updated in years. If someone says OBS, he means the currently developed software OBS studio, which is light-years ahead to everything OBS classic ever was. The current OBS studio version gets updates every few months and runs fine with Windows 10.
  • Your screenshot exhibits an old version of OBS. Update to the current version.

Do you have a link to the current version of OBS please?

I like Turtles. What I don't like is not being able to Window Capture from the new computer I just bought: 590 p0070 Hp with an Intel UHD Graphics card for whatever reason. Am I going to need to replace or upload a specific driver to get this computer useful to me? I bought this computer specifically for OBS recording and now I can't F-ing Window Capture! HELP Please. Do I need to replace this graphics card to an Nvidia or something similar? Suggestions? I've been at this over 48 hours and I'm about to hang myself without writing a damn note.
