Question / Help Windows 10 and OBS

New to all of this so please be patient.
I didn't download OBS software yet
Using windows 10 live movie maker and trying to do webcam tutorials.
If I record with OBS will I be able to upload to movie makewr and do edits?
Don't know if this is an appropriate question but any help would be appreciated

Windows Live Movie Maker likely lacks the media format support to do the job properly (which is ironic when you use a microsoft encoder to record the file in the first place)
