Question / Help Window Capture w/ Changing Titles

Hey, brand new here setting up a stream. I'm trying to add a web-based music player into OBS but it's not working because the title of the window is constantly changing. I'm sure this has been solved somewhere else but I couldn't find it. The music player is www.rainwave.cc so it's not a widely used player like Pandora or something. Thanks for the help.

I assume the issue arises when switching scenes back to the scene with the window capture? You can try adding the window capture as a global source so that the captured window stays loaded even if you switch away, though you'll have to re-assign it if you restart your stream.

A better idea might be to use a tool to grab the song title out of the title bar and put it intp a text file which you can display on screen, such as with these tools:

At the moment I'm stuck trying to get the window capture to show up on just one scene. I can get the whole window to show up when I do game capture but I'm trying to use the sub-region on the window capture to just pull out the snippet I need with the song currently playing.

Unfortunately the website I'm using isn't one of the supported sites so I can't rip the title out.

Ah, I see, since the window title changes even before you can add it to the scene. That is unfortunate.

I recommend posting on some of those threads asking for support for rainwave...the developers are usually pretty responsive.
