Question / Help Window capture not working unless game is windowed

I am trying to use window capture to overlay a NohBoard and Teamspeak over Guild Wars 2 in fullscreen, but what I get is this :

ETA : Game capture with the game in fullscreen, monitor capture with the game in both fullscren and windowed mode and window capture with the game both in fullscreen and windowed mode all do this. So the only way I can get it to work is using game capture in windowed mode, which hurts my FPS, so I can't use it.

You're on windows 7. Therein lies the problem.

Enable aero at the windows level.

Get another monitor, screen resolution, extend, and move windows you are capturing to secondary monitor. Doing this allows an option to look at live stream chat and monitor CPU usage without minimizing full screen game.
