Question / Help Window Capture Freezing/Audio Crackling

Hey guys! I'm sure this has been answered a million times but I can't seem to find a solution anywhere.

When I use window capture it pretty much just takes a picture of what the window looks like the moment I use it, but I can see my mouse moving on top of it. I have Aero enabled, using Windows 7 64-bit.

Also audio crackles when OBS is up, mostly when talking loudly or in skype/TS/Vent with people. Have no problems with the audio when OBS isn't up, any suggestions?

As I recall you should just select which window you want to capture and select "entire" window.

@Leadsx , thanks for the feed back! But unfortunately I just tried that and it captured my whole monitor, showing everything stacked on top of each other.

add your scenes to global sources.

Still having problems even after making the window capture of the page I wanted a Global Source. Again, the problem is when I use window capture, it's like taking a screenshot of the window, but when I click on the page I can see my mouse but nothing else on the page moves or is interactive.

you might have to play around with the window capture properties a little. I would turn off Aero with Windows 7 and see if that fixes it. Windows 8 does not have this issue.

Make sure the audio device that is crackling is set to the default format for the device. this can be found by right clicking the speaker by the clock, clicking playback devices, doubleclicking the audio device, selecting the advanced menu and restoring the defaults of that page.

It worked, kinda! With Aero disabled the page moves and works perfectly, but you can see everything on top of it too and when I switch pages it captures the new page, so it's essentially a monitor capture.

shouldn't be. check your window capture properties or remake the window capture. also make sure you get your window capture from global soucres
