I threw up a quick YouTube video that will do a better job explaining my issue visually than typing it out, hope that's ok.

This is most likely due to the render method of the MTG preview window. There may not be anything you can do about it -- certain types of renderers cannot be captured via window capture, and I feel like it's a safe bet to say that this is one of those cases. I'm not entirely sure what to suggest in that case because it's due to the way that the MTG engineers programmed it to render. If "compatibility mode" works then it might be something else, but I doubt it.

So you may just end up having to capture it via other methods for the time being, unfortunately. If it is the above case then it's not really anyone's fault, it's just due to the way it was programmed by their engineers.

I was worried about this, as MTGO is really a horrible program, but other Magic streamers have been able to capture their preview pane just fine, which leads me to believe it has something to do with my settings. Perhaps I can assist you with some screenshots, or maybe a Skype session to figure this out? Really need to get this issue solved for a recording I have to do. :/

Thanks for looking into it, let me know what I can do to help.

Are you saying other people have been able to capture the preview with window capture? Are you sure? If it's the render method I'm thinking if it really shouldn't be possible without using some sort of other capture method.

Yes, I am friends with other Magic streamers and they are able to capture this window as well. Only advice they gave me was to make sure it was on my other monitor (non-game capture monitor). I am using one monitor for monitor capture, and the other monitors for window capture of spotify, random things, etc.

To add, here is a video of another user successfully capturing this window, while I am unable to do so. The video is relatively old, and he is using an older version of OBS, but he still streams with the same version that I am using now and is able to successfully capture this window.

(Jump to 15:30, he adds it right at the end).

Please help if you know the solution, I feel I've done a good job explaining my issue and there's evidence that others can get it to work and it's possible, let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks
