Question / Help Window Capture and Resolution bug

I've been using obs for a little while and it has worked perfectly, until today. With no new updates or changes to my operating system or obs settings the window capture source is failing to capture the full screen. Before i was capturing a sub-region of the window and all was working fine, however, now it is refusing to capture the full window. My resolution in windows is 1920x1080. OBS seems to think it is 1536x864 and the sub region wont stretch to capture any more than that, even when i set a custom resolution inside OBS settings.

I found that changing my scaling settings inside of windows 8, from allowing windows to decide to forcing taskbars and menus to 100% With this OBS works with 1920x1080 resolution however it makes my taskbar so small i have to squint to see.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or know a way to fix it,because im baffled. Thanks in advance
 
For all those who viewed does my post no make any sense? If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this please let me know. Also willing to provide as much detail as needed to try and resolve this problem
