Question / Help Why Scene switch & black screen even Source settings ok.

1st problem is that My Scene sometimes switches to another even know that with 110% certainty not pressing the Quickbind that switches scene. I've put all of them to Numpad on far right side & when i game then using ones on left side of enter & record is at F12. Frustrating to notice after hop to place where i've set recordings that 1-3min clips that make r black screen.

2nd problem is that Now for past couple days Screen is black when recording and checked that Source settings are ok & same way as before when it worked. Game capture has correct one selected & some other things added to source window, but they don't mess with the visibility. Assistance required. Take care wish good week. Had error with uploading JPG less than 1mb size. Tried 2x times and uploading signal kept rolling, but nothing happened for 5mins what i waited so i gave up. EDIT: Ah did come there, but seen only after created post.

Is there a specific reason you haven't updated to OBS Studio yet? Can you try it in Studio and see if you have the same issues?

Yeah I agree with Fenrir, Move to Studio, but for the black screen on game capture, Could you try disabling AntiALiasing in the Graphics settings of your game you are trying to record. Set it to 'OFF'.

I didn't have any specific reason for not changing to Obs Studio & i didn't even know that there's new better client available. I changed to it now & happy that with the Master Finder Google found out this: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-classic-to-obs-studio-scene-converter.430/ so i was able to export all of my Scenes & their Sources to Obs Studio :)

There's nr. 16 behind source on each Scene & no idea what that means, but no biggy as it doesn't cause any probs. I love Obs Studio & creating backup copy tomorrow for Portable so that all be saved for the New Rig once get it installed :) I made a lot of settings work after installation & importing Scenes, but came up with a problem. For some reason My In game Sfx & Music not being recorded even i think i chose right setup via Audio Panel in Obs Studio.

Here is Audio Settings screenie from my Dropbox & if use image link from above and then add url it shows only & it's not clickable. I'm lost with posting image link & upload stays on upload status & nothing happens.

How are you verifying the audio isn't being recorded? Can you post a log from a recording session? We can take a look and see if something jumps out.

Helloez Fenrir & thanks for asking & offering assistance. I could upload the recorded vid to my page now when it doesn't have Character speech & music, but i wait 1st if u have something to say about this audio settings configuration :) Sry about the img size as didn't change it.

Hey Fenrir and ty for trying to assist. With VLC & used only that for 6+ years now :) I have music set to pretty high as i love the feelz it gives in W40k: Retribution's Last Stand mode, but my speech still would be well heard. I know cause Music, Character Voices & my Speech worked with old Obs Client, but Screen Was black. I'll upload the Clip in 10mins & put it to private visibility and then add the link here. Private cause i delete it after you've seen it.

Maybe i could take screenie from game's audio settings, but prop. no use as i've heard all audio working with old client. Now i've uninstalled it after installed beauty Obs Studio.

Still No In game Music & Voices recorded :/ Also Winamp's Music wasn't recorded and with old Obs client all worked. I don't know how to send Obs Studio Log Report from yesterday when recorded this encounter. Tried with 3x diff. games with no luck. Headset's Mic is good even with low volume as it captures keyboard noise so well. With Google no luck as All the "How to setup audio with Obs" pages r all way before Obs Studio came so they r for old Client. Settings pages made are way different with old client & Obs Studio.

Hi and ty for trying to assist. What did you think of my Audio Settings config earlier ? I attached the image above ^^ Now that example video not on private mode so it can be viewed & see that with those audio settings don't have in game voices & music on recorded video :/ Here's the things included for Sources & added Audio Output Capture today when b at crib. In a moment going to check if that helps to bring in Game Voices & Music with this Obs Studio Client that has modern look, but giving more problems via simple settings.

From the screenshot, you shouldn't be added the audio devices directly to your scene, unless you're looking to capture different audio devices across different scenes. If this is the case, you need to set everything to disabled in Settings -> Audio.

If you want the same audio devices for all scenes, remove the audio capture sources and set the proper devices in Settings -> Audio.

Helloez and ty Now for looking at image or both images :) I don't exactly know what u mean with "looking to cap diff. audio devices accross diff.scenes" & all i want is for Scene to capture in game sounds & music via Winamp. Yesterday before i read your reply i Recorded brief clip with "Audio Output Capture on & via Game Capture source i changed to mode: Capture any Fullscreen application. Then got all audio working, but image was blurry and barely unrecognisable. I guess it was cause of Firefox Browser was also open then "i guess it was".

Ofc would prefer to have audio working with Mode: Specific Window active & not any fullscreen. Maybe every audio source started to work cause of any fullscreen or that Audio Output Capture being added to sources window.. Strange & Frustrating compared to how simple it was to config. settings with old Obs Client. New one sure looks cool modern & has many new Tweak options, but weird how this obstacle comes.

Yes i'm using Logitech Headset as primary audio device like is shown on 1st image few posts higher ^^ & didn't think that anything wrong with audio settings as no one told about it when attached it. Can u tell me what's wrong with my current Audio Config. at Audio Settings page ? Since u say that "remove the audio capture sources and set the proper devices in Settings -> Audio."

Well i'm going to try recording now with specific window via "game capture" source settings & keep this Audio Output Capture on in Sources. As yesterday all audio worked when had "Capture Any Fullscreen Application, but Picture couldn't be seen well. Won't post more than 1x after this one so this thread doesn't get silly long with no Progress. Ty for some helpful info..
