Question / Help White box in the top left of my stream video, and resolution problems?

I've been a user of obs for well over a year. Occasionally, my resolution on the stream will mess up. What happens is I open obs, click preview stream, and the window i'm trying to capture is all out of resolution and parts of it are cut off. I have a 1920 x 1080p monitor, and my settings on OBS are set to 1600 x 900 (which worked for a while) and now its just cutting off a lot of the image. (when I set the res. to 1920 x 1080 it still is off)

I also have a white screen in the top left of my obs screen that covers about 1/4 of the image (when preview stream is on) what is this? I have no other processes open that are in that area of my screen.

I have v 0.638b but it happens on earlier versions as well

Right-click on your OBS shortcut > Compatibility tab > check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"

Does this fix the problem?

I did that, and the white box is still there in the top left. It appears to go away when I uncheck the scene which is my game (minecraft 1.7.0) scene is window capture

UPDATE: I changed to video game capture and it works! Should have done that before. Thanks for your help!
