8G DDR3
ATI Radeon HD 7870 2GB
SamSung 840 Pro
asrock B75pro3
Antec 430W BP-430AP

Hello everyone,i wanna know which cpu will gives me a better performance when streaming games, i just want a higher FPS while i playing and streaming.

theres 2 plan :
1.buy a used 3960X or 3930k with a used x79
2.buy a new 4770 or 4790 with a new z87

both choice cost around 520dollars here.
so which one is better choise?
More Core or Single Thread Rating?(i have checked some reviews ,4770 4790 single thread rating is way better than 3960x and 3930k)

about vedio card .
is it necessary to change when i have alrdy got a good fps ?(when playing good fps but getting lower while streaming)

Both will just work. More cores will always be better for the purpose of video encoding.

p.s. also please don't hijack other threads, this isn't a hardware support board.

the 3960x will perform the best the 3930k if you overclock it to the same as the 3960x will almost perform the same

haswell+ haswell refresh is by far not the same

and i do not mean HASWELL-E (socket 2011-3)

but as of right now ... i would rather wait till the new broadwell desktop cpus will be released since your current e3 1230v2 should perform just fine also the ingame fps gain isnt that huge its only about the encoding performance

Yup, I can only agree with alpinlol. The e3 1230v2 should be fine for some more time, and Intel just released the 5***series which seems to work quite well. So I personally would save money and get the current generation instead of getting an old one now.
For your graphics card question, in general you should be fine with that card, but as you noticed you drop a bit of FPS. Probably because OBS captures the Video data directly from the GPU. So it depends if you need more fps, then you could think about upgrading. Your E3 should not be limitting atm.
I currently have a 7850 and am pretty happy still. Will wait for the next AMD gen (after the 980 from nivida just came out) and then see if its worth an upgrade.
