Whenever i play counter strike whilst streaming, i get screen tearing (high power system)

Ive managed to narrow down the problem to one thing, Whenever i have anything related to my stream (e.g., preview or chat) open on my second monitor for me to read it causes noticeable screen tearing in csgo. Not even just in OBS, when i have my chat open in a browser or 3rd party application it causes screen tearing. Its really effecting my ability to stream the game using OBS.

Ive tried:
- Disabling preview
- Disabling G-sync
- Running obs on my main monitor
- Changing encoder

To no avail

My specs are:
RTX 4070 TI
i7 13700K
64GB DDR5 ram

Log from my recent stream: https://obsproject.com/logs/0pLMtbRfb9D94Jys

Your Streaming & Recording Scenes have a Game & Display Capture as sources in each. Fix these first & see if it clears up. If not, try running the Dell monitor @ 60HZ with v-sync/triple buffering enabled (Nvidia Control Panel).

Tried deleting the Game & Display captures, Didn't change much
As for running the dell monitor at 60hz, i dont really want to do that... Bought the 240hz monitor because i want to play at that refresh rate.

If there's anything else i should try please let me know

Thank you :)

It's easier to get things running correctly @ 60HZ, after you get things stable, then you should try the higher framerates.

Anyway my 3090 wouldn't like those settings & your 4070 has roughly the same performance.

I dont think the power of my hardware is the issue, i can play it triple buffered whilst streaming and recording without any tearing, However it feels very delayed. Is this my only option? i play all the time flawlessly without recording, no issues with tearing.

Disabling all enhancements & Setting the Texture Filter Quality to Performance or High Performance in the Nvidia Control Panel will increase the 4070 throughput.

I also recently enabled Riseable BAR, it's been working great with OBS. Might be worth a shot to look into it....

FWIW, I have a 360HZ monitor. But, when I'm using OBS all of my monitors are @ 60HZ or 30HZ depending on what I'm doing & I've been recording stutter/tear free for years with OBS.

I stopped updating when the 4000 series was released but there is a newer driver available from Nvidia (536.67) that may help to improve things if you're willing to give it a try.

You can disable Game DVR (Windows)
20:22:39.768: Game DVR: On

And if all else fails try running OBS as Admin, I personally don't but it does help for certain situations.
