Question / Help Whenever I open OBS, my mic stops working!

Hi,

So I just tried to get back on OBS today to record some stuff as I wanna get back into YouTube. For some reason, whenever I launch OBS, my mic stops picking up any sort of noise into my PC, and even in the audio settings it shows that there is no input, but when I close OBS, my mic starts working again.

Are you on Windows 10? And with the latest april update? Had the same problem..
go to windows settings and look for the privacy settings. There look for the microfoon settings and give access to apps to use the mic. This worked for me! Even though obs is not in that list where you can choose individual app access.

im still having this issue. idk what im missing. i tried the hardware/software thing and nothing changed. obs has access to the mic and it recognizes the xlr. idk what to do. im at a total loss. i hope im just missing something ive overlooked but i cant figure it out
