Question / Help Whats wrong with Moniter Capture?

I have been trying to capture my desktop for a long time with OBS and it still doesn't work! I got so desperate that I bought an Elgato, but I would still like to know whats wrong. Whenever I try to record with Moniter Capture, it just shows me black.

My PC Specs are:

CPU: Intel i7-4700HQ @ 2.40GHz
Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 860M 2GB
RAM: 16gb DDR3
Storage: 1 TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
