Sorry, but I have been struggling to have good settings for obs. I was thinking of streaming for League of Legends, but I can't seem to get the settings straight for me.

Could someone help me with my set up?

I have a Asus Laptop
Intel (R) Graphics
Resolution: 1366 x 768
With a 6.07 upload speed.

I'm really having trouble getting the settings straight. Everytime I do a test record for League, the game is pretty chopping when It shouldn't be.

Post a log file from the Help menu. It will have information we'll need. Just Upload, and paste the link it gives you here.

Also, are you streaming to Twitch, Hitbox, or YouTube?

Harold... please don't be so negative. You're not wrong that streaming + gaming on that CPU is likely not going to work, though. Just streaming would work somewhat with a good setup but only at low resolution. It really depends how how much CPU his game uses.

@Geno: If you have another option than that laptop, definitely use that. If not, you'll need to tell us how you're running LoL on that laptop (how low settings?), particularily how much CPU it consumes while it's running. The easiest way to find out is to put LoL into windowed mode, and open windows task manager. Then while you play task manager will tell you next to the process (Leageoflegend.exe or LoL.exe or something) how much CPU it is using. If we can find a playable LoL setting where that number is low enough, we might just be able to get you a stream. But be warned that it won't be very high-quality.

I kind of have to go with Harold here. Even an i3 is going to have problems streaming. That's a Celeron (the super-budget model, even below the Core2Duo) single-core hyperthreaded. I'm honestly surprised it can run League.

Even if ASUS built it, it's a machine made out of budget-grade parts.

I'd say to try 240p or 360p at most, with either the Superfast or Ultrafast x264 preset, 30fps, 2000kbps if possible.
Preferably a new machine, though.

I agree. Especially if it's single-core HT (didn't know it was, I'm not that versed in old Intel processor models).

My point was more to not be so... bluntly negative about it. Like calling the processor facebook-only grade, as opposed to giving actual information as to why it's bad (like you just did). I don't disagree with Harold's point, just the way it was delivered.

And yes, definitely 240p or 360p. If you're running the game on the same machine, superfast will most definitely not work, neither will 30FPS most likely. You can try 240p20fps and 360p20fps at ultrafast, and if that doesn't work you won't be able to stream with that machine.
