Question / Help What's a good laptop for game streaming?

I have been Streaming fine with my old laptop, an ATI based laptop that is now 3 years old; however, it's getting up in the years and I bought it at the end of the product lifecycle so I am now looking for a new laptop.

I keep seeing this issue of 'black screen' on laptops, which my girlfriend has experienced the same issue for full screen. Does anyone have any laptops they can recommend (preferably with nvidia graphics cards)? I know it's generally an issue with the Optimus based CPU/GPU setups. I'm currently looking at the G75VX (Asus RoG Series), but if anyone has a better option (or negative commentary on it) please volunteer.

Most laptops these days have both an integrated GPU and a high-power GPU, so there's not really a way to avoid it. Once you set obs.exe to run on the high-power GPU, though, you're fine. The only thing is that lately there have been problems with certain Radeon cards, so I recommend a laptop with a nVidia GPU.

Beyond that, I recommend an i7 processor, and make sure it has an Intel USB 3.0 port (in case you want to get a capture card in the future).
