Question / Help What would be the most optimal settings for my livestreaming?

You system is probably stronger than mine, so what I'm about to suggest should work fine on your system/stream. And can always tweak things later.

This will all be for the "Settings" window.

  • "Encoding"
  • "Video Encoding"
  • "Encoder" - select "x264"
  • "Use CBR" checked
  • "Enable CBR padding" checked
  • "Max Bitrate (kb/s)" - 2529
  • "Buffer Size (kbit)" - 2891
  • "Audio Encoding"
  • "Codec" - "AAC"
  • "Bitrate" - "128"
  • "Format" - "48kHz"
  • "Channel" - "stereo"
  • "Video"
  • "Base Resolution" -
set this to whatever your monitor/desktop resolution is currently set to. If it's 1920x1080; put 1920 in the first box and 1080 in the second.
  • "Resolution Downscale" -
If you had 1920x1080 for the "Base Resolution" you can either attempt to broadcast at the full 1920x1080; in which case you would choose "none" from the drop-down. But you can scale it down to the next format/size by choosing "1.50 (1280x720)".
  • "Filter" - "Lanczos (best detail, 36 samples)"
  • "FPS" - 30
That's the main things that I can easily give recommendations on. The rest of the settings will too different from mine when it comes to devices and such.

Which my settings are by no means the best and/or most optimal. They are what I use and seem to work fine for me. And "should" work fine for you as well for now.

I'd like to stream League of Legends, but i don't know which settings would be the best for my PC.

MSI GTX 760 2GB
Intel Core i5-4670K @ 3.40GHz
8 GB RAM

720@30 2500/2500 bit/buff or 1080@30 3500/3500 bit/buff would both be fine. LoL looks best at 1080 but keep tue frame rate at or below 30 for 1080. I dont know why people have these odd mismatched buffers/bitrates. Just stay as standard until you find what you prefer to stream
