I'm a musician and I want to start streaming my recording and writing sessions on YouTube and/or Twitch using OBS.
I've used OBS for a long time now to make game videos and screen capture videos without any problem, but I can NOT get this to work and I have no idea why...
I want my recording software to be the main window with my web cam's video on top of that. That's easy peasy. I got that working. The hard part is the audio!
I want my external microphone to work just like it does when I record games or anything else (sidenote: is there a way to stop it from being mono panned hard to one side?...) and I want what's coming out of my monitor speakers (or what's coming out of my headphones) to be the "game audio" just as if the recording software were a game.
I'd think this would be pretty simple but I can NOT get it to work to save my LIFE. lol I can hear the audio coming out of my monitors (or headphones) and OBS is picking up my external mic's audio. It's just not picking up the audio coming out of my monitors/headphones from the recording software.
Anyone have an idea of something to check?
Any help GREATLY appreciated! THANK YOU!!
