Question / Help What version of OBS is this?

Hi! I am having some problems streaming, apparently my video lags but i have perfect audio. I tried going on youtube to look at some tutorials about changing settings, but i realised my obs looks different as it doesn't have the 'encoding' section? some help would be appreciated please! thank you :)

Thanks! could you tell me why my obs looks different? Where would the encoding section be?

Because you're using OBS Classic, which is no longer in development. Go to the front page of the site and get a copy of OBS Studio.

Any guide that is referencing an "encoding" section is outdated.

yeah, i thought it was the classic one, weird cause when i downloaded it says that i'm using the studio version. i'll try and find it, thanks.

The screenshot you posted is of Studio, the tutorials you were following on Youtube were likely to be for Classic.

One way to check is to look at the version number on the main window, Studio is currently at 0.16.2, Classic is at 0.653b. Also if the icon you launched it from is named "OBS Studio" that's another big hint. :)

If the guide is for classic, it's not a guide you should be using.
