Question / Help What resolution is going to work for me?

My monitor is 1920 x 1080 but whenever I put that on obs the screen is off to the side a bit. I try 1600 x 900 and the top and bottom are cut off.

What resolution should I use?

Update: I sort of fixed it, whenever I open a game that I'm going to stream I have to set the resolution to 1600 x 900

Set your base resolution to match what the game is running (probably 1920x1080) and use the downscale option to lower the stream resolution to something more reasonable for your PC's strength and available bandwidth. Add the game as a source, then press Ctrl+F to fit the source to your scene.
