Question / Help What are the ideal Encoding settings for!

im trying to stream Counter strike Global offensive.

the quality is fine my pc is fine handling the stream, just get the odd lag spike im just curious as to what
other people suggest for my internet speed.

Run a 6MB test at http://www.testmy.net/upload as speedtest.net is worthless for livestreamers.

Also, post a logfile from a live streaming session. There's a sticky at the top of this forum, and the 'post a logfile if you have a problem' line when creating a new thread wasn't just for decoration. :) It'll tell us more about what the potential problem is.

I got 950 kbps upload currently, my provider is supposed to double my speed what do I need for 1080p? I am currently streaming in 720P. I remember there was a tool that I found here (I can't find it now) but it had me set it to 1689 in OBS. Mad love.

You really want at least 3000 bitrate for 1080p, so I wouldn't count on being able to stream that, even if your bandwith is doubled.
