Weird Screech noise just after I speak

While and slightly after I speak there is a kind of screeching noise. It has been really bugging me and have no idea as to why this is happening. Any help will be appreciated.

Probably isn't the right part of the forum to ask this. (unless you are working on a plugin or something?)

Anyway..

I guess the "screeching" you are referring to is the background noise before you noise gate kicks in.
My best guess is that you are using a noise reduction filter and a noise gate and have a fairly noisy ambient where you are recording..

If that is the case, you have two options.

1. Use more noise reduction (though you might loose dynamics in your recordings)
2. Try changing your attack/release on your noise gate so it closes quicker.

Those two will help somewhat if the problem is what i think it is.

If that isn't the case.. i don't know.
I would try changing your mic input from 16bit to 24bit, or even 32bit (44khz or higher) and see if that helps.

Can you tell us which microphone are you using or what application you are using to talk. Are you experiencing the same noise in other apps to or in that particular apps only. All these information are very essential for diagnosing the problem that you are facing. The most particular reason of that noise would be echo. You might have been experiencing echo that is very unusual if you are using a high tech microphone. So if your are experiencing a noise just after you are speaking then it can be the reason of using a low quality microphone which is very unlikely in this time.
