Question / Help Weird issue during a soundcheck

I just got a new gaming rig and decided to give streaming a shot. When I ran a quick soundcheck I noticed that when speaking softly my music volume was fine. But as soon as I raised my voice the music in the background got lower (similar to how with certain settings you can have Skype lower the volume of your other programs when you start a call).

Just curious what settings/issue could be causing this and how I go about making sure all my volumes are consistent. It's not something that would 100% ruin the possibility of streaming for me but it personally annoys the hell outta me so I can imagine it doing the same to potential viewers.

Right click the speaker icon in your system tray, choose recording devices, then click the Communications tab. On this tab make sure "Do nothing" is selected.

I'm fairly certain I had this selected already (because I don't like when Skype lowers the volume of my music) but I'll give it a shot and retest.
