Question / Help Webcams Always On

Both of my webcams stay on - both have lights on - even if I am not livestreaming or recording. They stay on even if they are set to not show. Since switching to OBS Studio, this is causing my webcams to be constantly warm, which is of concern. (With Classic, the webcams only came on if actually in use.)

Is there any way to prevent this, besides closing the program or disabling the webcams? I have eight scenes with various sources on each, so disabling every instance of a webcam would be a PITA. Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

Did the Deactivate when not showing checked in 'Video Capture Device' properties? Checking this option makes start of the source much longer (slow first frame when you switch to the scene, but the device fully deactivates).
