Question / Help Webcam wont register after first use....

Ive been using my phone as a webcam and it's worked very well. In OBS, when i first downloaded it, I set my IPCam on my phone as my Video Capture Device, OBS recognized the MJPEG program i ran with it and I had NO issue.

Once i stopped streaming and disconnected the phone, OBS would not recognize it once I reconnected. I made a new scene, new video capture, restarted all the programs, restarted my PC.....nothing made any change.

I hoped it was IPCam (even though i could still run the webcam with no issues outside of OBS) so I switched to DroidCam and restarted OBS. It was recognized and i went on streaming. The next day when I sat down to stream, OBS no longer recognizes DroidCam. Uninstalled and reinstalled DroidCam software on my PC and my phone, restarted my PC, created a new Scene and Video Capture......and still nothing shows up in the device list on the Video Capture set-up screen.

What do I do? What is going wrong?

The "working" log doesn't seem to have anything in there about your camera in the scene.

Having said that, your computer is absurdly underpowered for streaming. You have a very slow GPU and an incredibly slow CPU, and I doubt you'd be able to stream at any decent quality, and certainly not at 1050p30. It may even be possible that your poor GPU is what's causing the DirectShow problems, but I can't be sure.

I've had no problems with the stream, alll my friends who have watched it have said it's actually pretty good quality. My upload speed is through the roof for my internet connection. I believe I posted the proper logs so I'm not sure why you don't see anything. If my pc was the issue obs would not have recognized it at all.
Instead it recognizes each program once then stops....sounds like it's on OBS...not my machine.

My first few days using the program were very positive, seems like it's time to use other options if answers cannot be found. From looking through the forums and YouTube it seems that the video capture has had several issues with it, that seems a more likely culprit than my pc

I see you using the 64bit version of OBS, sometimes devices work better and have more support with the 32bit version. Try that first.

I will definitely give that a whirl and try to keep you guys posted. If anyone else has similar issues we can hopefully give them some answers.

I deleted all OBS files and re-installed. As of now, everything is working fine. No issues with Camera, was immediately recognized. Will see what happens when i close the programs.

Ive been using the 32-bit version for a couple days now and I haven't had any issues with the CAM! Seems the 64-bit has a few compatibility problems.

However...since i switched to 32bit the stream quality has been awful. I didnt think using a different version would cause the stream to have problems, but now everything is slow and glitchy. When i previously streamed with the 64bit the cam and monitor capture looked great and ran very well (when the cam worked, that is). Since i have switched to the 32bit, everything has slowed down and both the cam and the monitor capture lag and freeze on my stream page...

I LOVE this program, its ease of use and user-friendly UI is fantastic compared to some of the other options out there, but it just seems there is something holding it back :[. My system isn't great, but is exponentially enough to play MTGO and LoL and the stream for both (until the 32bit switch) was surprisingly great. Hopefully things shake out soon enough, I wasn't much of an Xsplit fan...

The differences between the 32bit and 64bit versions of OBS should be extremely minimal, and perhaps imperceptible. Can you post a log of when you used the 32bit version?
