Hey there! I'll quickly describe my issue and then tell you what means of which I tried to fix the situation.
I'm unable to use both my capture card (Dazzle DVC 100) and my Webcam (Lifecam HD-3000) at the same time. I found a simple fix that worked for quite some time. The ONLY way I was able to get my webcam to load WITH my capture card in the same scene is if I plug my Webcam into a CERTAIN USB port on my PC. (All the other ports would not allow them to work together.)
*At one point I seen my Webcam and capture card in PREVIEW but once I turned on the stream it removed my Webcam.*
One day I bought a Gamecube adapter, I wanted to test it so I unplugged my Webcam, and tested the adapter. After that, I re-plugged in my Webcam and now it doesn't work. Like, whatsoever. It won't even load in ANYTHING now. (However, in ANY other port the webcam works outside of OBS.)
I need either a way to fix my Webcam on a CERTAIN USB port only, (As it works in other ports.)
Or need to find a way to get it working regardless of which port. I've seen a few posts of people having the same issue, but all the responses were generic and non-helpful. This is the first time in about 8 years since I made an account on a forum to help resolve an issue. LOL.
Now, for what I've done to help the situation.
1. Re-install drivers.
- I've re-installed all the drivers necessary, uninstalled the old drivers and tried to get it working. Works fine on other ports, except the one needed to display both my capture card and webcam in OBS.
2. Tried different USB ports.
- I've connected the Webcam to every Port on my PC but it still won't display the webcam.
3. Disabled/Enabled Device in Device Manager.
4. Made sure no other programs were open that may have been using the device.
I will not be leaving a Log File as just like many others, it never helped the situation. As it's not an Error given on OBS.
Thanks for reading, and I hope this can get fixed! In 6 days I'm planning a 12-Hour Livestream in which I've done in the past. It wouldn't be the same without a webcam! ;3
