Question / Help webcam setup for obs

Hi

I've installed obs and can see my webcam in obs ok however when I minimise obs I do not see the webcam displayed on my screen so that I can just record it - Is there a setting in obs for this or do I need a third party application to display my webcam so I can make a video with my webcam in it?

Windowed Projector of Fullscreen Projector is the option that can display the whole preview/scene/source etc. in OBS Studio (right-click menu).

thanks but I want the output displayed on top of my screen and not within obs and not having a window around it - so you can create a youtube video with a PIP of the webcam.

When streamer want to see himself in web cam - the second monitor is needed (of course, you can use glass mirror). In OBS Studio you just build the scene where the cam source is on top and resized via Transform, the bottom source - is your game capture source (or any other stuff) that covers whole canvas in preview. The scene (both sources from the example above) will go to output as you see it in Preview (window where you edit your scenes).
