Just recently got a webcam, nothing special (Logitech C170). I got it all set up and positioned where I want it, then I start streaming and when I go to my Twitch channel in Chrome I notice that my stream was buffering constantly, and even freezing at times. My stream has never done this before so I'm wondering how much does having your webcam in your stream impact the quality and performance of your stream? Also is there anything I can do, any kind of settings I can change to help reduce this or get rid of this completely? I'm still new to the Twitch and streaming game so any kind of in depth info would be much obliged. Thanks in advance.

Well I'm saying that before when I opened Chrome to look at my stream and make sure it's not messed up it would always be playing. Now ever since I started capturing my webcam, when I open Chrome to look at it, it's constantly got the loading icon and it's been freezing in place.

I know what buffering is... what I meant was the loading icon. It has to be something with the webcam. Because like I said it never did this before.

Okay, forget my initial problem... Pretty sure that was just due to a hiccup in my internet. That problem no longer exists, however I am now having consistent issues with the webcam itself. As I was streaming last night the video kept cutting in and out, freezing, then unfreezing, and pixelating with almost rainbow colors. I haven't touched any settings with the webcam, everything is still default. It will work fine for a while then it will do as was stated. Is this a problem with my webcam itself, or perhaps there are certain settings I should set for it to prevent this from happening? Thanks in advance.
Bump.
