Hello Everyone,

I am having a bit of a problem using a webcam in OBS. I have everything setup how I have read it in multiple tutorials, but when i go to Preview or stream the video from my webcam does not show up.

I can edit where it will go and the size, but can't seem to get the video to come through.

Anyone else have this problem? Can anyone help me?

Thank you much!!

Possible. Do you have another program open that's using your webcam or might be grabbing it, like Skype? 8007001F is a 'BindToObject failed' error return (after a quick Google).

Couple of other things to note, from your log. You're on Win7; avoid using Monitor Capture. It's ridiculously slow and bad due to some shenanigans by Microsoft. It should be considered a last-resort only.

1800kbps really isn't enough for 864p@30 video. You'll want to downscale further to 720p@30. Likewise, turn off the 'custom buffer' option... there are a lot of REALLY bad how-tos floating around out there that recommend a custom buffer, because the authors heard to do it from someone else, and are repeating the same information. You shouldn't be using a custom buffer unless you know what it does, and why you need one IF you need one.
