Question / Help Webcam Buffer Not Working??

I have been using OBS for a few months now with 0 problems but today an error started. I use a delay to sync my elgato gamecapture HD, Blue snowball and Logitech C920 all together but recently the delay (buffering) hasn't worked. No matter if I set it at 6000 or 600 it will start off with the set delay and after 2 seconds be back at 0ms delay. I've tried restarting PC, redownloading OBS, reinstalling video card drivers and webcam drivers. Any help??

I have heard of this happening but haven't been able to reproduce yet -- there are a few internal issues with the design which we're going to change in upcoming versions, but it's still a while away. I do hope that you didn't buy that device for a desktop computer, because I would be most sad when there are so many internal cards available which aren't encoded and have no delay. Most people don't know about it when they do this. It somewhat frustrates me that people don't really put effort in to investigating capture devices more, and then they end up getting issues when they buy devices that aren't really ideal for live streaming.

I would like to know this as well. i bought the elgato before i started streaming and have the same issue as jamie with almost the exact same setup (i have a logitec c270). i can't get the webcam to stay buffered - it starts out with the buffer then does a gradual reset to zero shortly after. it's really frustrating.

the elgato doesn't play nice with OBS either. if i do a window capture it doesn't have any gradual offset, but when used as a game capture it has a gradual delay that just gets worse and worse as i stream.
