I just heard about OBS and decided to test drive it.
I had trouble right away with an NVENC error. I updated my Intel video driver, but that didn't help OBS... and broke the AeroGlass on Google Chrome too.
I changed the OBS encoder to "Hardware (QSV)" and that worked, but the desktop quality was fuzzy. So I maxed out the resolution and Downscale filter. That took care of that.
But the color is still washed out. I would like the screen video to be as good as the original. Here's a SnagIt comparison between the original and the maximum video quality I have so far gotten from OBS.
Can it be improved further? Why might NVENC not work?
