VirtualCam DAL Plugin Installation status: (null) after NDI 5

I have updated to NDI 5 and since the Start Virtual Camera button does not do anything anymore. I checked the log and it says:

[mac-virtualcam] [macOS] VirtualCam DAL Plugin Installation status: (null)

Prior to this update, I have already updated to OBS 27.1.3, and Monterey, and was able to use my virtual cam via NDI. I've already reinstalled OBS, too, no dice.

Anyone else with this issue and with a workaround? Thanks!

Ok so the Start Virtual Camera button still does nothing (doesn't even toggle to say "Stop..." as it did previously) but if the NDI plugin has been set up, and the NDI Virtual Input is running with the OBS source selected, then both video and audio will be accessible as NDI Cam/Mic (to Zoom, or wherever).
